Ramiele Is Gone From American Idol

Nokiainside - Hot News

Ramiele received the least number of votes this week and was eliminated from American Idol. Kristy Lee Cook and Brooke White rounded out this week’s bottom three. While I wasn’t surprised to see Ramiele get eliminated I was surprised and sad to see Brooke there. I really like and thought she had a good performance this week.

The competition is starting to get really tight. I think 5 of the contestants are talented enough to win this year: David Archuleta, David Cook, Carly Smithson, Michael Johns, and Brooke White. I don’t mean any offense to Jason Castro, Kristy Lee Cook, or Syesha Mercado but I don’t think are going to last much longer. ramiele malubay

Simon Cowell was prominent in my favorite part of this week’s elimination show. It started when one of the people during the live call in segment asked Simon why he felt it was necessary to apologize after giving a contestant negative feedback. That prompted Simon to say he was never going to apologize again, but he did.

Brooke White very nicely asked Simon to apologize to the violin player for saying how he thought he would have been better off “in the shade,” basically saying that he should have stayed in the background and not been front and center with Brooke during her performance last night. Simon then apologized to the violin player, the audience (maybe because he has a tendency to tell them to be quiet when they boo him), Paula (not sure why) and to Carly Smithson.

He included an explanation with Carly’s apology. He told her he was just trying to help her last night when he criticized her wardrobe and told her she should “have a word with her wardrobe person because she needed to start looking more like a star.” He told Carly he really likes her and that he thinks she’s cute. Awww……. I do agree with Simon. Carly needs to wear less black and start to show a little more glam - rock girl style.

Tonight’s guest performers were Dolly Parton and The Clark Brothers. Dolly Parton was great. She’s an amazing artist and definitely has made her name as a music superstar. On the other hand, the Clark Brothers stunk. I hated their performance. If they had been contestants on the show I would have picked them to be eliminated. A friend of mine said she turned the television off while they performed because she couldn’t stand it.

Another great part of the show was a personal interest segment with three former contestants on the show: Bucky Covington (season 5), Phil Stacey (season 6) and Bo (season 4 runner-up). I was glad to hear Ryan Seacrest say the show would be catching up with more former contestants during the next couple of weeks.

Another week of American Idol television is over. It’s only 6 more days until we get our next American Idol “fix.”

American Idol: The Old Ruben Serenade

Nokiainside - Hot News

My DVR cut off the first few minutes of the show, apparently, so I missed Ryan’s intro and was treated to Syesha diva blasting her way through “9 to 5” the second I turned on the show. That’s what nightmares are made of.

Some thoughts on the results show.

  1. Michael Johns, you know I love you, but did you really need to wear a T-shirt with Dolly’s face on it? Little scary, buddy.
  2. Chikezie in the heezie.
  3. The cushy safety sofa and the cold, hard aluminum chairs. Do you think Simon can grasp those metaphors?
  4. What was up with Michael John’s little snarl when Ryan called his name? It’s good to go first, MJ. It’s means cushy blue velour is in your future.
  5. I never noticed Archu-D2’s breathing thing before. He’s got a bit of the fish mouth going on, like someone advised him to start breathing through his nose but he…just…can’t…do it.
  6. I loved Carly’s yellow and white top. Cute.
  7. Ryan is so mean to be playing with Carly’s obvious insecurities like that. I happen to be very glad that she was placed safely in the Top 8.
  8. Viewer call in segment. Syesha gave the perfunctory “I miss family and friends” answer about yearning for home. David Cook yearns for more organization. Randy wants to work with the next American Idol winner on Randy Jackson’s Country Music Bonanza Spectacular Club LXVIII. David Cook and Michael Johns are planning on performing the romantic duet “Islands in the Stream” on the Idols Live! Tour this summer. And then there was the weekly pointless Simon question.
  9. The Next Great American band “winners” showed up to play “This Little Light of Mine.” When and where did that show ever actually air?
  10. Lead singer of the Clark Bros. or whatever looks a lot like Jeremy from “Dirty Sexy Money.” I miss that show.
  11. Kristy Lee should hook up with either of the bookending Clark brothers as they all seem to be riding the same imaginary horse when they perform.
  12. All told, the Clark Bros. were pretty good.
  13. Who was the Botoxed to death woman in the red patterned shirt they kept showing?
  14. Ford commercial time! The whitest Idols in the history of the show performing a song by Run-DMC taking on a street ball team. Hmm…Something smells a little rotten in Denmark. But David Cook has got himself some hops.
  15. Ramiele. What the hell were you wearing? Let’s dissect this for a moment. A black button down vest over a HUUUGE white T-shirt and black leggings with brown knee high boots. Stumpy supreme. Was she taking fashion tips from Claudia Kishi?
  16. Kristy Lee Cook is officially the sparkle queen.
  17. Backhanded compliment from the Paula. “Ramiele had a good night for Ramiele.” Yeowch.
  18. Looks like Nashville has turned into a former Idol contestant commune. It’s probably comforting for Kristy to know what when her time on the show is up, she can meet up in Tennessee with Bucky Covington, Bo Bice, and Phil Stacy.
  19. Syesha is coming out before Jason and Brooke. Shocker. She’s safe. And I’m glad.
  20. Why does Brooke keep harping on Simon about the violinist? He wasn’t saying anything about the man personally. Brooke, stop talking.
  21. Brooke is in the bottom three! Craziness. I like it.
  22. Miley Cyrus on “Idol Gives Back!” I’m there!
  23. I’m sorry, but two minutes of Ryan talking about Ethiopia while Bono sings and millions of people sit at home waiting impatiently to find out if the little karaoke girl, the horseback rider, or nanny is going home is really not going to help the plight of the Africans. Save the charity for “Idol Give Back,” please.
  24. Dolly sure is skinny. You could grate cheese on that breastbone.
  25. I really want to watch “Steel Magnolias” right about now.
  26. Brooke is crying! She hates being in the bottom three! But she loves Jesus and gravity.
  27. Ramiele is going home! The Idol gods are kind and just.

Another Finalist Is Sent Home from American Idol 2008

Posted April 2nd, 2008 by Two Tivos To Pa...

It's a results episode, and one that brings us from 9 to 8. Who will take the long walk home? Let's get to it..

  • Hey, they started early! Of course, that means I miss Ryan's intro, so it's not all bad.
  • Dolly and Next Great American Band winners The Clark Brothers are here tonight. American Idol's got both kinds of music; country AND western.
  • What happened to the rest of Paula's shirt?
  • These group sings are really quite frighteningly amateurish, plus they also really show how young (and stiff) Archuletta XY is. I even have a NEW nickname for him - David "Have You Seen Warren?" Archuletta. A prize to the first reader who spots the reference.
  • Still with the phone calls?
  • Wow that Ford commercial brought back bad memories of Hang Time.
  • Dolly doesn't lack for energy, does she?
  • And Ramiele goes home, which is how it should be. Brooke shouldn't have been anywhere near that bottom 3, thought, at least not with Jason Castro still in the competition.

We'll be back next Tuesday for the start of Idol Gives Back Week!

Pat Sajak Bald?

Nokiainside - Hot News

Pat Sajak is not bald, remember the show was aired on April 1. While many thought Pat Sajak became bald, it was a joke.

On the April 1, 2008 airdate of Wheel Of Fortune, Pat reveals to everyone that he was wearing a hairpiece and for the first time, we see Pat Sajak with a bald head. Sajak was quick to remind the audience the show took place on April 1st.

Some bloggers like Dead Light Bulb were really confused if Pat Sajak was truly bald"

"I know it's April fools day, but Wheel Watchers got the shock of their lives Tuesday Evening. At the end of the episode, after the recap between Pat and Vanna, Vanna proceeds to pull a whig of Pat Sajak. I watched in HD and it looked like the real deal. Pat manages to give Howie Mandel a little knock by saying he could host “Deal or No Deal” Now. Does this mean Sajak hates jews? Im really confused," writes the blogger.

'The Biggest Loser': Like a punch from a kangaroo

Nokiainside - Hot News

The Biggest Loser goes Down Under this week, and all the gorgeous shots of Sydney are almost enough to make me ignore the blubbering. Granted, some of the tears are earned (yes, I got a little sniffley at points), but most of the weeping and gnashing of teeth was over the top.

Throw another spoiler on the barbie.

Whoo-hoo! Australia! The Land of Oz! Home of gorgeous beaches, stunning rainforests, brilliant cities, and more things that can kill you per capita than just about anywhere else on the planet! Heck, there's a seashell that can cause death! I LOVE this place!

Our hardy contestants won't be facing anything more perilous than Bob and Jillian-who are, admittedly, pretty darn scary. Bob and Jillian are trainers for Australia's version of the show, and all of a sudden their involvement in the show makes much more sense. They get paid to go to Australia? Lucky devils.

Look, there's not much point to taking the contestants to Australia, or much new stuff they do -- apparently they sold a product placement to a travel company, and they decided what the hell. What it means is we get plenty of pictures of Sydney, and cool restaurants, and great markets, and the harbor, and clubs, and hotels, and wow, do I really want to go back to Australia again. Sydney may be my favorite city on the face of the planet.

The challenge
At first, I'm disdainful of the challenge -- the Sydney Harbor Bridge Climb? It's cool, but it's not that huge a challenge. You're roped in at all times, and they basically tell you anyone can do it so long as you can walk under your own power. Fantastic views, not really as intimidating or exhausting as it seems. A lot of it is just a gentle slope, not even that may stairs. It's possible they were climbing and walking a hell of a lot faster than I did, but still.

Alison clues us in that the bridge is just a spiffy backdrop -- they'll actually be doing a mini triathlon, starting with a 300 meter swim in Sydney Harbor. Wait, aren't there sharks there? Huh.

Apparently the Great Whites were napping, because everyone makes it to shore. Ali's a really strong swimmer, and she comes out ahead, with Mark second. They swap places during the bike ride (through the botanical gardens, which are stunning -- plus, you can see really huge fruit bats hanging from the jacaranda trees, which made me laugh), and Ali is trailing Mark through the final footrace and 44-story stair climb.

Here's where I'll admit to getting a little teary-eyed: Mark makes it to the top of the stairs first -- and, because he respects Ali as a competitor so much, waits for her to catch up so they can cross the finish line together (actually Ali carries him piggyback over the line. Hee!) Jay and Roger follow, and then everyone goes out to the stairs to encourage Kelly to finish the climb. It's a big deal, and I'm thrilled that everyone is supporting everyone else. That's what I like to see.

The weigh-in
It's a wild and wooly week -- the competitors have had plenty of gym time, but their schedules have been disrupted something fierce. That really takes a toll on everyone. Ali again takes the top spot, losing 3 pounds for 2.01% of her body weight. Roger is next, down 2 pounds, or .85%. Curses! Everyone was hoping they'd get a shot at ejecting Roger this week.

It comes down to Kelly and the brothers -- and Kelly pulls it out. She loses 1 pound, or .52%. The biggest shocker? Mark and Jay both gain a pound -- apparently their bodies don't react well to a change of schedule (or time zone, or hemisphere). That means the Brothers Blue are up against each other in the elimination.

This time, Jay tearfully insists that he must be the one to go home. Oh, alas! Alack! And woe upon woe! You guessed the rest -- there's a lot of crying and strangled voices, but Jay is the one to go. Even Alison looks slightly shiny-eyed. At this point, however, I'm sick of the histrionics and I just want the crying to stop.

Jay looks great at home -- he's lost 100 pounds, and he's running every day. He's even organizing a 10K to raise money and awareness for the Beckwith-Wiedemann Children's Foundation. Go, Jay! Normally I'm against the whole product-placement aspect of the show, but I'm more than happy to point people towards a children's health charity.

Highlights, thoughts and odds and ends:

  • When Ali gets all dressed up to go dancing, she looks incredible. That's why it's almost physically painful to hear her worrying that her arms still look too fat. It just shows how deep body issues can go. Ali, sweetie -- you look incredible. You are incredible. Trust us -- you have nothing to worry about.
  • It worries me that Bob may not know precisely what a continent is. He says the Biggest Loser is dealing with weight on every continent -- which I doubt, unless there are bench-pressing penguins on what's left of the Ross Ice Shelf. Then he says Australia is the second most overweight continent, following only the United States of America. Remember, Bob -- Australia is the only country that is also a continent. The USA is big, but it doesn't stand on its own.
  • Bob is disappointed when Dan isn't among the competitors -- "Dan had a way of making me feel young," he says. Funny, he had a way of making me feel completely nuts.
  • I did like the footage of everyone checking out the local seafood and fruit market -- especially when Bob was watching Mark go after the enormous lobster in the tank. "It's gonna get you and I'm gonna laugh."
  • I loved that a women running in the park encouraged Kelly to keep going, even running alongside her.
  • Possibly my favorite moment of the whole show: Mark calls home, and starts crying, His wife, Erica says "Oh my god, are you crying again?" Then she laughs -- "You're a mess! You need to snap out of it, toughen up!"
Next week, the final four are back on campus, but their trainers are not. What? Plus, America will decide the last member of the final three. Good move, or totally bogus? And are you booking your flight to Australia yet?

Disassembly Nokia 9500

When disassembly any phone, great care should be taken to ensure that no damage is caused to any of the parts. Rough handling may result in severe damage of many parts, and if proper anti-static procedures are not followed, electrostatic damage may result in any electronic component.

Before commencing, it is recommended that the correct tools are purchased for the job in hand - at the very least, you will require a Torx T5 screwdriver.

Step 1. Protect the exterior screen with a film or similar.

Step 2. Remove the battery cover.

Step 3. Protect the interior screen.

Step 4. Using a thin plastic shim, release the clips surrounding the key pad frame.

Step 5. Bend the left side of the frame and release the clips as shown below.

Step 6. Bend the left side of the frame again and release clips.

Step 7. Use your shim on the right hand side of the phone to release the end securing clips.

Step 8. Repeat the same procedure for the final clip.

Step 9. Now you can remove the key pad frame.

Step 10. Remove the PDA key mat.

Step 11. Remove the nine Torx T5 screws in the order shown below.

Step 12. Remove the key pad assembly.

Step 13. Use your shim to carefully release the screen connector.

Step 14. You can now lift away the entire upper block.

Step 15. Use a flat bladed screwdriver to release the camera connector carefully.

Step 16. Remove the main circuit board.

Step 17. Again use your shim to push the camera out of its holder.

Step 18. Remove the camera.

Step 19. Using tweezers, remove the aerial.

Step 20. Remove power connector using a disconnected charger.

Step 21. Use your tweezers to remove the microphone.

Step 22. The battery frame assembly is held in place with six clips. Use your plastic shim to release them.

Step 23. Now move to the upper frame and start by removing the friction hinge as shown below.

Step 24. Use your shim to unlock the top cover.

Step 25. Remove the top cover.

Step 26. Remove the key mat taking note of its positioning.

Step 27. Use a dental pick or small flat bladed screwdriver to lever the clips holding the shield in place.

Step 28. Here you can see a (slightly) clearer picture of the step above.

Step 29. With the clips released, remove the shield.

Step 30. Protect the LCD screen with a film or similar.

Step 31. Use tweezers to remove the earpiece.

Step 32. Use your shim or a flat bladed screwdriver to release the screen connector.

Step 33. Lift out and remove the screen.

Step 34. Use your shim to lever open the locking catch.

Step 35. Now lift out the locking catch.

Step 36. Use your shim to release the connector.

Step 37. Use a flat bladed screwdriver to open the clip on the left side of the phone.

Step 38. Repeat the same procedure on the right hand side.

Step 39. Lift out the user interface.

Step 40. The PDA screen is attached to the frame using double sided tape and can be released using slow steady pressure as shown below. Take care not to break the screen.

Step 41. Reassembly is a simple reversal of the above steps taking extra time to ensure that everything works as it should, and that you have caused no damage whilst inside the handset.
